For the past six years I've been freelancing in the technology industry. I've worked with over two-dozen startups, learned a ton, and worked with a lot of technologies and people.
Late last year I came across a job posting for Compose. I was familiar with Compose, mostly from their days as MongoHQ. As I dug deeper I discovered a company with fascinating values: a flat org structure, self-direction, and a very solid product.
Now that Compose is part of IBM and has the resources to mature it all kind of came together to an opportunity I didn't want to pass up. I went through their unique hiring process and ended up getting hired as an "Application Developer". I'm about a month in and I'm having a great time.
