Biography

Biographical Summary

Hey, my name is Dan Connor. I was born in New York and moved to Minnesota when I was eight, although I'm still reluctant to call myself a "Midwesterner" or a "Minnesotan". Until I was in high school I kinda assumed I'd be a scientist or an inventor. Once I discovered music, however, I realized that I could never be satisfied pursuing just one of my passions. Like so many others I ignored that impulse for a while, attending the University of Minnesota to varying (non)degrees of success. I dropped out and attended the Institute of Production and Recording as their first student ever. After graduating from IPR I spent a couple of years as an independent engineer and producer while also working in music stores. After some time I began to crave a consistent paycheck and took a couple of corporate jobs. I met my wife Sheryl, made some like-minded friends and started a company. Now my time in cubicles is over and I'm venturing forth building relationships with record labels and, one way or another, fully embracing the creative lifestyle.
