UI, Data, Frontend Architecture

I'm also a guy with whom you can spec UI widgets that not only do what they are supposed to do but are also actually maintainable. Need a jQuery notification bar with pull-out drawers, messaging queues, ajax retrieval and acking, that makes people smile when they use it? No problem. I'll write it modularized, object-oriented, and in a down-to-earth, understandable way: none of that sloppy frontend code that gets lost in a sea of anonymous functions all stepping on each other is in sight.

Backend, Too

Need someone who also totally gets backend code? No problem. I understand SQL and love ORMs. I know my way around Unix and I sysadmin my own servers running Linux and FreeBSD. I write excellent Ruby and can bang out solid PHP when needed.

Billing Strategy

  1. My clients provide a list of their feature requirements. Examples of features may include things like: a blog, contact form, social media integration, donations, slideshow, etc.
  2. I provide a quote based on my anticipated time for delivering those features.
  3. I deliver the agreed-upon features at the quoted price.
  4. Additional features/work constitute another quote process or can alternatively be billed hour-by-hour.
